Cherry Cherry Blossoms
One of my favorite things about quilting is the chance to play with new color combinations. Unlike redecorating your home or giving your wardrobe a makeover, a quilt is a simple way to experiment with color.
This one is a perfect example. The cherry red and grey/taupe play together so well, with lots of white to keep it clean and balanced.
And, of course, I can’t resist the chance to show off some free motion stitching on the red solid. The quilt design is one of my favorites, called Japonica. Glide thread catches the light, adding a subtle extra detail. Batting used is Quilters Dream, Dream Blend cotton/poly.
