This classic Bargello throw quilt is the creative brainchild of Melody and her husband, who worked together to choose the fabrics. The result is a beautifully blended quilt that pulses with movement. The fabrics have a Civil War feel, but the color combination is modern. Nothing ancient here!

Straight line quilting is always a good choice for a Bargello, but I’m partial to the wavy lines we chose. They give the quilt an extra vibration. We chose a light neutral thread, and deliberately avoided quilting over the darkest fabrics.

This quilt draws you in and doesn’t stop. I can’t wait to see this couple’s next collaboration!
