Nancy made this reversible throw quilt as a gift for her daughter. Bursting with energy, it turned out as iconic and magical as the woman it honors.

We talked about some different quilting ideas, but in the end, Frida insisted on my "Fiesta Flowers" pattern. The bright white thread makes the quilting pattern stand out especially on the borders.

I imagine it’s going to be hard for Nancy’s daughter to choose which side faces up.
