A good video game is a little bit like a quilt. Strong art, interesting characters, and good storytelling are like the fabric, batting, and thread. Those elements are stitched together to create something new and interesting.

Blizzard’s Overwatch game is one of these ‘quilts.’ It’s all about heroes. And one of these heroes is a gigantic armor-plated guardian named Reinhardt, who keeps his allies safe with an enormous shield.

I created this quilt as a going away gift for a Blizzard employee who was transitioning to a new company in a new city with his wife and newborn son. 

Baby Henry will always have a shield.
