Quilting on the Brain
Quilting changes the way my brain works. After an afternoon of quilting last week, I was noticing beauty everywhere. A dusty path disappearing into the hills, bright flowers on long stems, the wag of a dog's tail.
It turns out, this phenomenon is a real thing. Immersing ourselves in quilting or crafting can make us feel like we're living life more fully. Mastering a new piecing technique or a tricky pattern can even give you confidence to tackle life's big challenges. It's even proposed that losing yourself in a craft project can stave off dementia.
This is scientific permission to do more of what you love! So push the unfolded laundry off your sewing table and dig up that kit you've been saving. Your brain will thank you!
